How does it work...

For those who have been through ATL... we've all seen the electric carts they use to shuttle those with mobility problems. But how does that work if one needs to change concourses? Do they get off the electric cart, into a wheelchair, down the elevator, on the plane train, up the elevator, then back into another cart? Or are the carts only used between gates in the same concourse?

The strange things I think about.
