Let's say I get to a resort early, say, eight am. There are a hundred people checking out that morning but only three rooms available at that time. Do they have a list that you can choose from of all the people that will be checking out? I hope I'm wording this right! Let's say I dont' like the location of one of the three available rooms, I just was wondering if you can choose one of the rooms that will soon be vacant and come back later when the room has been cleaned and is ready?
Is that why you have a better chance of getting your requests met if you get there early?

I wondered what could be taking so long, and now I know. It's nice that they try to help you get the room you want. So if I call three days in advance and make sure my requests are in the computer, I have a small chance of them actually being met. If they are not met, I still have a chance to choose another room. And I'm going to take this one step further...if I end up in a room I am really not happy with, I could move the next day if a better room opens up right? This will probably be our only trip to Disney in ten years and we will be spending at least four days around the resort so our room will be important
