We're going to be staying at Newport Bay, and last time we stayed at DLP I think we could just turn up for breakfast whenever, however I keep reading about booking time slots now...
How does this work?
What time does breakfast start from and when/how do you book your place each morning? What are the time slot options?
Any advice much appreciated! :thumbsup2

Breakfast is between 7am - 11am. We usually pick slots around 9:30 as we like to do EMH first and then go back to the hotel.

I've not stayed at NPB, but at Hotel New York, they don't adhere strictly to the time slots. We've missed it a few times and been either early or late and it's never been a problem. One morning we even turned up without the slot time ticket and no-one questioned this.

Thanks for this - so when do you get to pick your time slots?

When you check into the hotel, they'll ask you to choose.

They used to be able to offer breakfast in the park too, for some hotels. I think NPB was one of them. They'd let you have breakfast in Plaza Gardens I think, meaning you could do EMH and then have breakfast without leaving the park.

From what I can gather, spaces for this are limited, but it might be worth asking when you check in :goodvibes

Good to know, thanks.

Are all time slots always available or is it best to check in early for the full choice?

You'll get a better choice if you book in early, but I wouldn't worry about adhering to times especially if you go early for EMH. Newport bay would be a bit of a hike to go back just for breakfast, you may be lucky and be able to have a breakfast in the park or if you are a share holder Salon Mickey is great for a coffee and snack.:surfweb:

Can you do this before the 3pm check-in time, i.e. would it best to go do this straight off the Eurostar?
I am a shareholder but was hoping for 7am breakfasts and using Salon Mickey as brunch/early lunch...

We have always gone to our hotel first before 3pm. You can collect your park tickets (if not Disney express) & get your breakfast slots.

We'll have Disney Express so could head straight to the parks, but I'm thinking it may be worth an initial detour to the hotel to ensure we have the timeslot we want for the rest of the week...

When we stayed at NPB last summer we always stuck to our timeslots but they don't enforce them. Especially if you want early slots there won't be a problem. We also got offered breakfast in the park there last June.

If you get offered breakfast in the park, does this have to be every morning or can you pick and choose which day you want to spend where?

Also, is the early 7am slot still available for in park breakfasts?

If available, you can choose to have it on any of your days. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

IIRC the earliest slot ou can get for breakfast in the park will depend on when EMH starts. Don't think they offer them earlier than that.
