How do you pronounce 'For'

I must live in the wrong part of Texas, hang with the wrong kind of Texans or (what I should blame it on ) I got it from my Mom how has a real North Carolina twang

We're from deep East Texas, between Dallas and Louisiana. But I've lived in DFW, the Houston area, Austin and all the people I knew there pronounced it fore/four. I have noticed that people who lived closer to Oklahoma or in West Texas sometimes pronounced certain words a bit differently.

I grew up outside of Houston. In general I say fore/four but there are times that fer just comes out Even in the affluent( though, not my part of town) suburb I lived in there were some crazy sounding accents Right now I'm in a pretty rural area and they are pretty redneck/hick here. Lots of twang
