how do you pay?

We have an account that is specifically just for our vacation savings. We contribute to it each month. When the time comes, I will probably book everything on my Amex and then pay the bill with our vacation account. We're using airline miles for 1/2 our next trip.

For our last trip, our hotel room was a prepaid nonrefundable rate that was paid in advance with a debit card. Airfare was booked with miles.

We do a deposit, then pay it off about 2 months before we go. That gives time for all the rewards dollars to add up and be ready for the trip. ;)

I know a lot of people said they pay only the deposit on their hotel room when they book and then pay a little at a time until it is paid for, and I was wondering how do you pay a little at a time? Do you call and they place a payment on your credit card, do they accept a debit card payment, or do you send a check or money order or how??? We have been 3 times and I always pay when we get there but this sounds like it might be a better way to go. Thanks so much.

I make a payment 2-3 times a week. On my day jobs pay day, my husbands payday and on MOnday's ( I bartend so I go deposit my tips)..some payments are $20, some are $300..all on my debit card.

I also have a "travel" savings account, that I contribute to each month, as well as putting my tax return money.

I book my trip in January, with the deposit and then the following month when I get my tax return, I pay it off.

You can use your debit card. I've always used my debit card and Disney has no problem with it.

That's a great idea, to pay off the trip before heading there and have it out of the way. All you do is enjoy the trip.. and with the debit card, you won't owe anyone anything! :thumbsup2

yep can def use a debit card..we don't have a single CC and I pay the whole thing off slowly with my debit card as extra money comes in I "send it south".. via my debit.

we do too! I usually have 1/2 of the money in savings before I make our ressies.. so the next few days will consist of me getting up and making a big payment daily until that amount is all south!
