OK.....so I just got home a few days ago from a GREAT 5 days in WDW. It was my annual "solo" trip and it was everything I thought it would be and some. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

So can someone please tell me why I feel so "down"??? Is this some sort of "Post Disney Depression" or something????:lmao: My next trip isn't until June with DH to celebrate my birthday. But in the meantime, I need my daily Disney Fix. What do you do? Here's some of the things I do to help pass the time away until I'm in my "Happy Place" again:

- Read/Post on the DIS Board
- Play Disney Music off of d-cot.com
- Read over and over and over the Birmbaum Guide Book (mind you it's from 2007; I know...I need a new one :lmao:)
- Start planning the next trip

DH thinks I need help :rotfl2: but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has some sort of ritual until their next trip; right??????? :rotfl:

you could write a detailed trip report;)

or (gasp!) a pre trip report

i know exactly how u feel:hug:

To combat the post-Disney-vacation-blues, I always try and do some sort of trip report (either a dining report or a full-blown trip report). It's a fun way to re-live our trip, and also good when I want a walk down memory lane. Also, planning our next trip is a great blues-beater too. I can't even begin to express how excited I am to have a 14-night trip to plan over the next year!! :woohoo:

What's even better is that since we've now been so many times in the past couple years, DH and DD are able to give meaningful input as to their preferences, so we get to share in the planning fun as a family. DH and I also spend our time preparing our scrapbook autograph pages for the next trip, and otherwise read menus, reviews, and other input from people who have recently been on trips. As our trip gets closer, I will be a regular on TGM to make sure that I have my itinerary planned to a tee. And, of course, I couldn't live without popping onto The DIS several times a day. :goodvibes

Make a music-filled photo slideshow with all your photos from this past trip, and sit down and enjoy the memories all over again!

I get the post-disney blues big time. I plan out my next vacation, budget, play music from the parks & resorts, go through photos and order printouts from snapfish... I have yet to find a cure.

There's something addictive in the air at WDW. I think we need a narcotics team to investigate.

I go to work.
It passes the time in an unpleasant manner but never the less passes the time!

:rotfl2: I totally agree!!! I think I'll work on our dinning requests for next year. I'll see where we've eaten and see if I can find some place new. Then I'll add to my Outlook the 180 day mark so I can try and get ADRs. I'm really happy MS pushed it back to the 180 rule.

I start planning my next trip basically the day I get home...next year is a big one because we are planning a 2 week Disney Wedding Extravaganza...unfortunately I am so organized when it comes to trip planning I basically have all the planning done including Dining plans and now have to live for the dates in my Outlook Calendar with notes like "Book DVC Ressie", "Book Wedding Date", and finally "Book Dining".

I also take sick pleasure in putting a 120 day countdown on both my facebook status and my MSN (it's the first thing I do every single morning between the 120 day mark and the day we leave)...it drives people crazy but for some reason it makes time pass quickly for me!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!! I actually got engaged in WDW a million years ago! :rotfl2: I love how you say "sick pleasure" in doing things. But only a Disney fanatic would understand to I totally understand!!

Ah yeah, , , go to work. I'm with Anthony1971. Those pesky maintenance fees seem to need attention - part of the Disney Magic residue . . .

It passes the time ...
This was my #1 response as well!

We also leave "town" nearly every weekend to either visit our land in the nearby mountains or to escape to another drive-to destination. There has to be something special to enjoy on a frequent (weekly?) basis. We rotate between: soaking in the hotsprings, hiking, horseback riding, camping, off-roading, visiting Home Depot/Lowe's, attending a pot-luck with one of many social groups, wrapping up a yard project, spending time in a sauna ... something, anything!

It helps that two of our timeshares are local and offer day-use. Even a short visit (1-3 hours) for swimming, horseback riding, sauna, or a hotsprings soak does much to revive us!
