You know, the stuff out of the can. I don't usually eat fish since I am allergic to most fish and normally can't stand the smell either. I can eat tuna and I'm crazy a tuna fish sandwich for some reason today. I hate mayo however I've always added a little to tuna since I couldn't come up with another way to make it (straight out of the can is nasty to me).

How do you make your tuna?

I use chunk white albacore in water
throw in a spoonful of mayo
a bunch of vinegar
a bunch of black pepper
and some lemon juice

My favorite way to make tuna is:

white tuna
chopped red onion
chopped celery
1 tbs pickle relish
mayo
salt & pepper

mix it all up and serve it on rye toast! yummy.:)

I also like to get 1/4 cup macaroni salad and add plain tuna to it and just eat it no bread.

I make a macaroni tuna salad that is great too.
You can serve it cold or warm.

hard boiled eggs
tuna
mayo
tomato
onion
small macaroni shells

mix it all up!:thumbsup2

I make mine into a low fat version.

Fat free mayo
celery or celery seed
little bit of onion powder
little bit of chinese five spice

I do not like pickle so I never use that or relish.

I mix the tuna (not the oil kind, the water kind. I cannot STAND the oil kind..bleech:crazy2: ) with salt, pepper, chopped dill (fresh if I have it), finely diced sour pickles and a little Hellman's.

I use
canned tuna
a small amount of mayo( I really hate the stuff but tuna needs it)
chopped celery or celery salt if I am out of the real stuff
small amount of onion
chopped dill pickle

I mix that all together and throw it on a english muffin and top it with a slice of tomato and a slice of american and throw it under the brolier.

I use mayo, sweet relish, onions, boiled eggs, a drop of mustard, salt, pepper.

If you don't like mayo, you can use lemon olive oil - I do, and its great. Nice and light, and it helps keep the.... plumbing flowing.....

A little bit of ranch salad dressing is a good alternative to mayo, too. I make my tuna salad with a boiled egg, ranch dressing, a little mustard, chopped dill pickles and chopped onion. :thumbsup2

Add a pinch of dried dill to it!!! Yum

I eat mine very plain. I use a can of tuna in water, one egg and a tablespoon of Miracle Whip.

This is how I make it as well. I love it with either dill or sweet pickle. :thumbsup2

When I was a kid I hated when my mom added the celery. I'm still not a big fan of celery, but love the extra crunch and bit of flavor it adds to tuna salad. :)

I love deli tuna salad. I don't know how they mix it or what they put into it. I make tuna salad and have tried different things but I can't get it to come out like the deli TS. Does anyone know the secret?

Well you can't get any simpler then mine. Tuna..and mayo...just enough mayo to make it stick. I sometimes add celery for myself only..if I am in the mood.

I don't even bother with the celery.

I can of solid white in water (drain the water), chop it up and add mayo. The only other thing you need is your choice of bread (I like rye).

Maybe it's just me, but I can't wrap my head around how so many people have to gourmet everything up. If you don't like the taste of tuna, eat something you do like.

Tuna
Mayo
Diced onion
chopped hard boiled egg... I have no idea why... my family just has always done it this way
Black Pepper... no salt
diced jalapenos from the jar, with about 1 TBS of the juice
sometimes I add some relish, sometimes not.

BTW, I take the tuna in my hands and squeeze as much of the liquid out of the tuna as possible before mixing everything else together.

That's why they call it tuna "salad" and not plain tuna with mayo. I like tuna just fine and can even eat it straight out of a can with nothing on it, but I prefer making a "salad" out of it.

I don't particuarly care for tuna "salad" ... and I love pickles, but not in my tuna...sorry.

I've started mixing my canned tuna (yes, water only, no oil) with fat-free ranch dressing. It gives some seasoning without the mayonnais-y flavor.

No mayo - I use Miracle Whip in my tuna - along with some very finely chopped onion..

Now I want a tuna sandwich..

something very light---

can of tuna
drizzle with olive oil
capers
fresh ground black pepper

mix and serve with crackers or veggies

I make mine with chicken. I can not stand tuna and I don't trust that dolphins are not getting caught in the nets.
