IS it worth trying? We did the character breakfast at the place close to Dino ride years ago. IS this a character meal?? Also, do you recommend going after riding a few things? We tend to spend less house at AK.....so maybe ride EE, Dinosaur ride and then head to breakfast?? Thanks

We're curious about this as well. We loved Donald's Breakfastasaurus two years ago and we're hoping Tusker House's breakfast buffet is very similar!

Donalds just moved locations and changed the name. Everything else is the same. The food and the characters.

I've heard it's one of the few places that you can actually "meet" Daisy. I have it booked in hopes of that, although Donald will be fun either way.

My family just got back and of all the character meals this breakfast was their favorite :thumbsup2 they said it is a must do. Huge variety of food and great atmosphere.

We really enjoyed the food. There was a good selection of typical food, and other very interesting and delicious options. As to timing, it depends what you like. We did an 8am ressie and were finished before park opening. waited inside park right by the Safari, and got on right away. However, after eating that much food, we found it necessary to wait a little for EE. But I'm sure, ressies after riding a few rides would be very nice too.

DH and I have a 8:05am ADR. Our plan is to eat and head straight for the safari. did you get seated right away for your adr? did you see a lot of animals that early on the safari?

We really enjoyed it!! The characters were great and the food was fantastic. It is a spot that we will repeat on our next trip!!

Seated almost right away, and saw lots of animal. Early AM is a great time to see animals

Having never been to Donalds before not sure what to expect. I'm hoping to make ressie for us for our next trip. And I just have a couple of questions...

What foods are served?
How is the character interaction (with adults - there will be 2 of us and no kids)?

Thanks in advance!!

We loved it! It is a character breakfast with Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy (usually). The food was very good and the atmosphere reminded us of Chef Mickey's.

We got to AK at rope drop and went right to the Safari (saw a lot of animals) then we walked one of the trails and met Terk from Tarzan before our ADR. It worked out great!

We loved it! The character interaction was very good. The food was delicious, and our server was very attentive. We never had to worry about any drink refills or the plates being taken away. I would recommend it!

Daisy i hear is hit and miss, i did not see her there in FEB :(

We enjoyed it so much on our last trip that we did it again this trip. It is a must-do for us now. The food is really good and the character interaction is awesome.

We have been to the first several times and the new one twice....

Daisy is there instead of Pluto...And their costumes are safari now....IMO character interaction has suffered at bit because they do not have much room to move around and they have a lot of tables to cover...They are at each table just long enough to get a pic....

The food selection is much bigger....And set up different...Instead of one long table there are stations...Some stations have hot and some have cold foods....The food is set up in a large open area....The food is very good....

Tables are much closer together at Tusker...And the noise level is louder....

They have added a cool little parade that goes off every 30-45 minutes...The characters and kids parade around...It is cute but very loud...

All and all, it is very good....We think the food is better and the set-up of the food is better...BUT we miss Pluto, think it is a bit to loud in there, and the tables are too close together...

We are going again in December, so I guess we like it enough to go back ;)

We do our ADR one of two ways at AK...We either make them for 8:00 when the park is set to open at 9:00...OR we go at 8:00 on an early day, do a couple of rides and have a ADR at about 9:45...

Now that the breakfast is at Tusker we really like to eat at 8:00 and go on the safari when it opens at 9:00...The animals are so active then...You will see so many more if you do the safari first thing..They are all walking around (usually close to the trucks) and eating...Tusker is just a few yards from the safari...It makes for a quick walk and a great way to start the day...Then we either ride or FP Everest...The hed over to DinoLand and the Dinosour ride...Next it is over to Kali for a ride or FP...And we always go to the Lion King at some point in the day (while we are waiting for a FP ride or in between something else)...We do a lot of walking to get to what we want.

Im glad to hear that the animals are very active that time of day and you got to see so many. Usually I hit the safari in the afternoon and by then a lot of them are not visible and the ones you do see are just standing around.

We were @Resturantasaurus in May 2007, throughly enjoyed it...went to Donald's Safari Breakfast (Tusker House) in December 2007 and loved it even more (especially the juice they serve you when you are first seated!) Can't remember specifics of food but know there was a lot to choose from and it was all good. Also, Pluto is not @Donald's Safari Breakfast (he was @Resturantasaurus) but Daisy Duck is!
