For a few years I did really well maintaining at goal. Since the holidays Ive been up about 5lbs and cannot get it off. How do you get your motivation back? going to WDW in just over 12 wks and want to be at goal. Im at the gym M-F 30mins on the treadmill and another 30 at night. Mon night Yoga, Tues night weights, Wed night Pilates, Thurs night Versasize (instructors choice), Fri night weight class, Sat morn Cardio. Im definately getting enough exercise but I need to watch what I eat. I do keep track on fitday so I know Im eating too much.

Hi there,

It's tough I know. I'm flailing without the Biggest Loser groups. I think I'm gong to start a thread where those that want to hang out and support each other can do so. We can also weight in weekly. I found this helped alot.

Hang in there - I have faith you can find it. I just went back to WW's tonight and just went shopping. I feel like maybe I can do this..........I hope I can get my rear in gear!

Sounds like you are doing a whole lot of cardio and not alot of concentrated weight lifting. No doubt you've heard it a million times, but muscle burns more calories at rest than fat does, so it really does pay off to spend the time lifting, even though you don't get that same feeling of "phew! I've really accomplished something" that a good cardio workout gives you. I'm a complete cardio-addict myself, so I can relate. But sometimes when you do so much cardio your body "adapts" to it...so each workout isn't as effective anymore.

I'd suggest changing up your routine a bit - shock your body by doing something different. Perhaps a interval or circuit training...combining short bursts of cardio (like a few minutes of jumping rope or fast running on the treadmill) in between sets of weight work.

motivation...hmmm.....Date a younger man:rotfl:

Have a goal.... mine is the 1/2 in Jan! Keep track of what you eat and make sure you eat enough. Good luck :)
