Traffic is limited within FW so kids don't get flattened by rushing traffic, as the roads are surrounding all the campsites. It is a quiet kind of place as far as traffic and parking is limited within the campground. You can drive your car TO Fort Wilderness and leave it in their large parking lot. From there an "internal" bus that goes around the campground will take you to the stop that is closest to the restaurant. Or you can take a boat from the MK or Wilderness Lodge; the boat dock at FW is also just a short walk from the restaurant area. If you don't have a car, you can take a Disney bus TO Fort Wilderness and the bus will let you out at the main parking lot. Then you switch to the "internal" bus that takes you to the restaurant area. So only that last option involves any switching of buses.
We are doing the Hoop Dee Doo in March when we go for spring break. I haven't seen it since about 1978 and from what I hear, the food and the show are pretty much the same. FW is a lot of fun and if you have time after the show, check out the "Trading Post" across the way. It looks like an old-time store and they have lots of good souvenirs.
