Hi,
I was wondering how most of you get such wonderful pictures of the night time parades and fireworks. We don't have a digital camera so my information needed is for a 35 mm. We are wanting to know what speed film, as well as what settings you use on your camera? Any help is GREATLY Appreciated.

Just bumping to see if someone can help us.

Thank you, Wendi

Do a search on GeoffM if it's working. He give some great pointers and has some INCREDIBLE pictures.

Haven't taken nighttime photos in a couple years, but what I did was purchase the highest ISO I could get (1000?). I also had them developed at WDW. One time I brought a role home, and even with a custom developing business doing the work, the photos didn't turn out as well. Due to the film's high speed, pictures may appear a bit grainier than when you use, say, ISO 100.

It would be best not to use a flash when photographing SpectroMagic.

HTH!

Hi Wendy,
The best results I've had with fireworks is by using Kodak 800 MAX setting to "B" or 2 with f stop at 22. This lets you leave your shutter open until you release or open for 2 seconds, and I suggest a tripod so that you have no movement of the camera. I have a 35mm SLR. If you don't have adjustable settings, you can purchase 1600 ASA, by Fuji and Kodak. I can only purchase this film at a camera shop, your typical retailers do not usually carry it.
I hope this helps :D
