We are staying onsite and would like to see several of the resorts so we could choose wisley for the next trip. How can that be done? The two we want to see are WL and AKL so the monorail is out. Can you just pull up and park and go in if you are staying at a resort on property just not that one? We are planning to have supper at Whispering Canyon is there a parking charge? Would our resort bus take us to the other resorts or could we hop a resort bus at the MK to resort hop? Thanks

We've always hopped on the bus from one of the parks to the resort we wanted to check out. We resort hopped along all the monorail resorts too! It's a lot of fun and wish we would have thought of doing it before!!

I recommend renting a car if you want to resort-hop. You'll save a lot of time. Resort-hopping is fun.

If you're staying on-site and it's not a busy time of year, most guards will just wave your car through to the parking lot. If they do ask, just say you want to look around and check out the resort - you'll get a 3 hour parking pass.

Thanks so much for that information guys. We do have a car and it just may be better to tour ourselves. The parks will be closing at 6'ish anyways most nights we are there so that'll give us something to do in the late evenings. So thankful we have navi in the car all the WDW resorts are showing up in my navi so i can just relax and ride.LOL

Resort-hopping is one our favorite activities at WDW, especially when the parks close early. Having a car is the way to go. Don't forget to try out some of the many excellent resort restaurants!

The fastest way to commute from resort to resort by bus is to take a bus from your resort to any of the theme parks and from there transfer to your particular resort destination.
If you are going by car, you will just tell the guard that you are dining there and they will give you a three hour parking pass. You will not have to pay. This was our experience and I'm assuming it has not changed. A couple of years ago we stayed at WL and drove to AKL for dinner.
We also love to do resort hopping via the monorail....

P.S. You will LOVE WL.....We will be there in 13 days and can not wait.

Have fun,
Mouslvr
