How do you feel about adults drinking alcohol at Disney?

What is your position on adults openly drinking alcohol while in Disney?

  • I could care less...it's their business

  • It kind of bothers me but not enough to let it affect me in any way

  • I am offended and I give dirty looks to those who do it

  • I am so offended that it keeps me from going as often as I'd like

I am curious about this....so I decided to make a poll.

The last time a friend of mine visited, he said that the open alcohol consumption was so much that it bothered him. I guess due to it being such a family atmosphere. What is your take on it?

No problem with it at all as long as people are not drinking in excess. Been 4 times now and have yet to see anyone drunk.

I am here now, waiting for wife to wake up so we can do chef mickeys and then Epcot. I love the alcohol, after a long day or before a long day a nice fruity cocktail or cold lagger is nice to enjoy. I have seen lots of people drinking our first two days but nobody was out of control or sloppy drunk

I'm not much of a drinker at home but on vacation I like to have a drink.

Attitude is everything. I read a lot of "advance condemnation" on the DIS. So they go looking for drunks.... And they find them. Even if that means they throw a screaming fit trying to get sober 15 year olds evicted because "they are dancing too much they must be drunk" (true story. Security finally had to escort the accuser away from the area).

Exactly, a glass of wine or a beer with dinner is very nice, or maybe a frozen cocktail while walking World Showcase.

Unfortunately the CMs working the quick service and snack kioskd of World Showcase aren't bartenders that know when they should and should not service someone. They only have seconds to make a decision on whether someone is too drunk to serve and this is difficult to gauge. However I think the vast majority of people want a few drinks and nothing more, the big rowdy "stag party" groups seem to be the small minority.

I don't drink myself but that's just how I am. I don't mind being around anyone that does. As long as someone isn't being a nuisance and bothering others. Live and Let Live. :)

Absolutly NOT my business if anyone wants to have a drink or two ...

Same if I want to have a drink...

No problems at all- of course this is as someone who has drank around the world twice :).

We are not big drinkers by any means although most of our friends do.However,in epcot we do like to try a native drink from the country we are having dinner at.warning:the san angel drink at san angel is very sneaky.Wow.did not finish it.Most of the time we split a drink. My wife had no part of it!But yea if someone wants to drink,by all means go for it.Just remember there are familys around!

I am fine with it as long as it is not to excess. Although I look at the people who get plastered and know they will be feeling it the next day... and why go to Disney to have to waste a day by recovering?

I imbibe on occasion at the parks.. but 1 is normally enough.. especially with the price of Adult beverages.

Why no option stating " I enjoy an alcoholic drink at WDW " ? :confused3
seems the poll is tilted in one direction

If they took all of the alcohol out of the parks, I would be fine with that because neither my husband or I drink.

I like that MK doesn't have alcohol, other than in BoG. I think MK could be really crazy, especially during Wishes when it's so crowded, if people were also tipsy on top of being hot, dehydrated and tired. ;)

We don't go to Epcot much anyway, so whatever there I guess.

I like a drink or two as a refresher and don't like to be spilled on by drunks. I think these issues are dealt with in the real world and can be handled at wdw.

I am not a big drinker but I do love to have a couple drinks while at WDW (not in excess of course). The funny thing is, all of my favorite drinks are at WDW so there is no way I can pass them up while there :goodvibes

I don't drink much at Disney, but with that being said....I can't wait to get a Pina Colava or two when we go at Christmas! My DH would not be happy if he could not get beer there. Can you imagine going into the Biergarten and not being able to get a beer? As long as people are not stumbling around and being obnoxious I don't see the problem with it at all. :drinking1 Cheers everyone!

Agreed- how about an option that says I wish I could get a drink at Magic kingdom not at bog

I don't have a problem with it unless people are obnoxiously drunk, which I have seen a couple times at Epcot. I like MK is dry except for BOG.
