How do you express your love for Disney at home?

What things do you do at home to feel that Disney magic? I listen to the Disneyland soundtrack, watch videos of attractions on YouTube and draw Disney characters. What are some other ideas?

I like to scrapbook, and make classroom treat for DD classmates.

Currently I am making Toy Story "You've Got A Friend In Me" last day of school gifts for the kids.

Also planning/ making costumes for MNSSHP.

I've started collecting old photos of DL from the 50's and 60's and putting them up on my family room wall. It all started with a painting print of the castle and Walt that we bought at DLR last summer.

If I bake something, it is usually Disney themed (Mickey shaped cake pops or cookies for example) and I often paint my nails red with white polka dots. I scrapbook or find other crafts that are Disney themed, and definitely watch youtube videos of DLR rides/walkthroughs and look at food reviews!

I have a curio cabinet with mostly Disney items (it also has a graduation shelf with my beaded cap, a sage stick, and my Lenox graduating Mickey, so still Disney, but not all Disney). It has several sets of Mickey headband ears, along with a few cool collectibles including the old PPH toiletries with the Mickey Ear caps (so glad I kept a complete set) as well as the new H2O set. I keep my regular ear hats in a couple different places, mostly on top shelves around the house. Our pin trading lanyards hang on the pillars of the bar between the our kitchen and dining rooms). I also do red nails with white polka dots and I have a few pieces of Disney jewelry. My biggest reminder is the Mickey Mouse tattoo on the back of my neck.

I keep my pin collection/lanyard/buttons on a bulletin board in my office.

The Mickey ear hats are played with often by my kids (see profile pic, lol).

Also, I've been reading a lot of the original books that many of the Disney favorites are based on to my kids (Winnie the pooh, Alice's adventures in wonderland, Peter Pan).

I listen to Disney music every day. It isn't the only thing I listen to, mind, but I do have many Disney albums in my library.

I have a lot of Disney trinkets. None are valuable/expensive, but I do have many small PVC or other plastic figurines.

Many of my shirts and hoodies are related to Disney in some way. I also carried a Pirates of the Caribbean purse around until I stepped on the strap and tore it. :sad2:

My shelves are full of Disney board games and jigsaw puzzles. I am an avid reader and have lots of shelves of Disney books, fiction and non-fiction.

Most of my reusable grocery totes were purchased at either TDS or DLR.

And that is only my "Disney" stuff. I'm not counting the many Marvel and Star Wars things!

I have something Disney in every room of the house, even the bathrooms. Anything from pictures to soap dispensers, to nick nacks, to pins to tapestries. And if I really get the need I just pop in one of my tapes that I have shot over the years of every ride at Disneyland and watch them until I feel better. I even have an old VHS of the Disneyland Electric Light Parade that I watch.

I also have a Disneyland Arcade coin that I carry around in my wallet so I always have something Disney on me and I'm usually wearing a Disney hat or t-shirt.

I am a high school history teacher (as soon as someone will hire me for a permanent position) and I plan on having a Disney-themed classroom. Mickeys everywhere, Disney inspirational quotes on the walls, possibly even a section that promotes the next Disney/Pixar movie coming out.

Now if someone will just hire me... :cool1:

How do you get video of the dark rides? I'm always curious about this.
Love that you have your tape of DL Electric Light Parade! I miss it so much!

Stare at my Grumpy tattoo in the mirror. : )

I also keep our various ear hats out and the kids wear them at least a few times a week. Also the lanyards are in a drawer where they can easily play with them.

We listen to Disney music every day, watch ride videos online, follow different Disney Facebook pages, check these boards, plan vacations (even ones that aren't really happening any time soon),we all have our pins displayed in our bedrooms and my recent obsession is creating Disney art for the house. I made a "Scary monsters don't have plaque" sign for the kids' bathroom and Disneyland subway art for the living room.

Sometimes, I wish my Mickey head wasn't on the back of my neck, just so I could see him myself. If I want to see, I have to look at my daughter's (she's almost 20), which is filled in differently than mine (hers is done like a Yin/Yang symbol, mine like the world, both done from pin images) so it's really not the same thing, lol.

I turn on the built in light and destroy the ride for everyone and shoot away of course!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl::lmao::thumbsup2

No really, what I took them all with was an old Hi-8 tape video recorder. I was amazed at how much it picked up even without the night vision option turned on which it does have for those really dark places. But most of the rides are taken with just the light provided by the ride itself. I have noticed that my digital camera does not pick up as much as the old style tape players do. :thumbsup2

CaptainEIEIO, lol, I knew you didn't do that. I am very inept with such things, and am just impressed when others have such abilities.
