I want to cut down the amt of food I eat at night as that really is my biggest downfall.
Took note today of what I eat when.

Brkfst 6am was raisin bran w/milk, coffee, cran juice - mid morn was a yo crunch. This totaled me to about 500calories

Lunch was a salad w/feta cheese and Healthy Choice lunch meat w/lowfat ranch dressing.
Mid day snack - grapes, blueberries, strawberries, apple. Total aprx 500calories

Dinner - 5.3oz hamburger cooked w/garlic. Again another 500 calories
Wow! After dinner I had a bowl of jello - never realized how much this fills ya up!

Do you try to divide up your calories or spread them out more?

I don't know what others do, Barb, but I eat all day long. A little bit here, a little bit there. I try not to eat anything really heavy after 8, but sometimes....I do! You are doing great, btw! Keep it up!

I'm on a specific program, so it probably doesn't apply to your plan, but just to give you things to compare:

For breakfast I eat either a portion of fruit or a grain (toast, cereal, etc), and a protein, usually 4 oz. of meat or an egg.

For lunch and dinner it's the same thing: 2 cups of lettuce, a portion of vegetables (the portions of veggies and fruits vary depending on what it is...I have a chart in my book), about a 4 oz portion of protein, and a portion of fruit

And I'm allowed protein snacks between meals and after dinner. I find that if I eat a protein snack after dinner (which I'm supposed to be doing), I actually lose MORE weight than if I didn't eat the snack. I've heard personal trainers say that if you're going to eat snacks at night, just make it protein or a complex carb (veggies, fruits, etc.).

I do the same as Luvtigger does except I leave off the nighttime fruit.

I see your burger had garlic I am loving cooking with garlic. I use it on everything it brings so much flavor to the meal and doesn't cost me anything calorie wise!!

I try to eat a little all day long so that I stay full.

I usually have 2 prunes and 8 oz water before I leave for work, then I have breakfast when I get there. Usually either Kashi, oatmeal or bread w/ peanut butter.

For mid-morning snack I try to have fruit.

Lunch- I try to have about 5-7 ww's points. Sometimes more, if we are going out for lunch.

Mid afternoon snack- again fruit

If I go to cheerleading, I will have 1 oz cheese before going to the field, if we are home I have dinner and then snacks after dinner. For snacks, I usually have yogurt, peanut butter/bread with milk, cheese. Occassionally I will have a sweater treat.

Breakfast tends to be my smallest meal (I know, I know), mostly because I'm in a hurry in the morning and partially because I'm not hungry yet. I usually eat a couple of hard boiled eggs or some sausage.

Lunch is often leftover dinner, but if not I eat a lot of turkey and chicken w/cheese.

Dinner is always a good sized salad, meat, and a side veggie...usually broccoli.

It's not exciting, but it does the trick. :)

I know, too, that breakfast is important, but I just am not interested in breakfast.

Right at 12:00 every day I eat a big salad with meat (usually chicken) on top with full fat salad dressing (but not a lot).

When I get home, I am usually hungry so I have a little bit of leftovers, either meat or a bite of vegetables, or a small handful of olives, or a slice of cheese.

Dinner is meat (steak or boneless prok chops or fish or shrimp or chicken again), a small salad, and a low carb vegetable like broccoli, cauliflower or cabbage. I often have a nice sauce on the meat (a smidge of wine with a little cream or a little garlic mayo or something like that.)

If I am really craving something sweet later, I have 2 T. of whipped cream - really low in carbs!

I am still losing weight - 72 pounds in 7 1/2 months, I feel great, my blood presure is great, and I rarely have cravings or appetite swings.
