Okay, I know a few weeks back, I ran across somebody here who had made it clear in their sig and/or tag-line that they, like I, are a huge U2 fan.

So I figured there must be plenty of you around here! Come out of hiding! You KNOW you're just dying to chat about the new album... aren't you?? :smooth: {<--- Bono Smiley Face!}

Yes, I'm impatiently waiting for the release of HTDAAB. I was kind of hoping it would be released on itunes this week due to the leak on the net over the weekend but no go.

Well, I was about to say that I was sure you could find out somewhere in cyberspace. lol

:D

Dying for it. Can't wait.

I'm spending the time waiting for it by slowly rebuilding my U2 collection since my ex took them all after the divorce.

I have always thought this smiley looked like Bono too! :smooth:

:teeth:

Psst. Hey you. Psst, cinmell. Yeah you! Shhhh....

*Whisper* I have HTDAAB downloaded now. AIM me if you just can't wait any longer for it.

:smooth:

LOL! You're right!

My DS (as well as DH and I) is a huge U2 fan and can't wait for the release of this CD. Anyone hear anything about their tour yet?

You just unplug the green wire. Or is it the red wire? One of the two!

I really like their new song! I'll probably sample the album on iTunes before buying. U2 with me is usually hit or miss.

Eh, I've heard different things. It could start anytime between March and June 2005. As crazy as it sounds, the later the better... I need time to save up money!! LOL

I have to start saving too!

I heard it's going to start in Miami, possibly March 2005 just like the Elevation tour but it's not definite. There was talk it was going to start in Boston which would have been awesome considering that's where I live!

Apparently, tomorrow is the day! One of our local radio stations always has "New Release Thursday" and we've been promised cuts from the new CD tomorrow. I can't wait.

I'm in no hurry for the new cd, but I like U2 a lot and I'm sure the disc will be great. Have seen them twice and though they were awfully good.:D

MUWAHA! cinmell added Irish loveliness to her signature. :D

And I DON'T want the tour to start near me. Well, actually... I say that, but it really for me just depends on WHEN it starts. Due to our upcoming January WDW trip, funds are gonna be super-tight afterwards (as far extra fun things go). So I'm figuring I'm definitely gonna need some time to recover from that before I can shell out for concert tickets (and U2's ticket's are always hella-expensive!!)

I'm really hoping that they'll come to Atlanta, and if not then Charlotte or Jacksonville. Any of the places I can drive too without much hassle. Any other place, I'd probably just opt to catch a flight there a back, pending that the flight loads are good (I work for an airline).

I'm so freaking stoked. :D Stupid me discovered the wonder of U2 only moments after the Elevation tour ended, so I've been DYING for the last 3 years for the new album and new tour.

I had different U2 pic there before but for whatever reason it stopped showing :confused3 :confused3 so I dug deep into the collection and came up with the Joshua Tree pic. I'm challenged when it comes to linking pics to the signature.

can't wait can't wait can't wait:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :jumping1: :jumping3: :rockband: :thewave: it's been on my christmas list for 6 months now, but I don't think I can wait any longer...I've gone to see them once (Elevation tour) and it was the 2nd best concert I've ever been to!!! If the Edge ever decided to leave his wife and children I'll be waiting with open arms!!!

txSleepingBeauty and anybody else who is interested... message me on AIM one night soon. I have the entire album (and this time, the files aren't messed up!), and will be more than happy to share the U2 love with you.

I'm telling you. It's... Well, indescribable. It truly takes my breath away everytime I listen to it. :smooth:

Once upon a time, U2 were my favorite band. I've cooled on them in the last several years, but I do still like them. My DH runs a record store and brought me home a copy of the single as soon as he got a promo in. It was nice but I was surprised at what a rehash of former glories it was. It's like Edge went back to Boy and stole a couple guitar lines and voila! New song!

I always enjoyed the way U2 would progress with each album. My favorite progression being from Rattle & Hum to Achtung Baby. It was such a departure but it was fantastic. The last album had a few good songs but was definitely a regression. And this new single seems to go even further back. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's just not the U2 that I necessarily love the most. It happens to the best of bands though, so I don't know why I'm complaining.

Bah, I'm just an old grumpy fan who should probably stick to listening to The Unforgettable Fire in the dark. :teeth:

Remember how cute Bono looked in the 80s. ???

Now he just looks old like me;)

Yeah, he was such a cutie:) The really early days were his cutest, with that mop of hair and new wave clothes and earnest/passionate/innocent look on his face. So perfect!

I think he needs someone to professionally dye his hair these days. It looks like he does it in the kitchen sink before he goes out. The color just always looks so odd.
