How do you create a page on Facebook?

How do you create a fan page/personal page/etc on Facebook?

I'm not talking about your account/profile page. I'm talking about creating a People or Group page.

I'm trying to create a page to invite our families to Christmas at our house. We didn't want to go through an invitation application because some family members don't like accessing them for privacy purposes.

I didn't want to do evite because I'm not sure everyone will read them. They ALL read FB so I thought creating a page would be better.

How do I create a page? I can't figure out where to start.

Log in to your page, then in the search box type "groups" and search. It'll show all groups on facebook. You can then click on the the button near the top that says "+ create new group". Follow the instructions from there.
