We think WDW is the greatest place in the world and many of our friends and family think we're nuts. My SIL, who has never been to WDW, thinks it's "just another amusement park."
As other posters pointed out, WDW is not for everyone. That used to bother me. I just couldn't imagine how anyone could not love WDW. Of course, I don't understand what so many people see in going to Atlantic City or Las Vegas.
I can see how the un-informed can go to WDW and not experience the "magic." I've talked to so many people who have been to WDW a number times and never even knew about what we would consider basics. Let's face it, you really need to do your homework to get the most out a WDW vacation.
I'm sure most of us could show our family and friends how WDW really should be done, but it's not something to be forced on them. I usually give my recommendations (options, as much as possible) and let them decide.
For those who don't want to go to WDW for whatever reason, I don't even try to coax them anymore. As another poster pointed out, that helps keep the crowds down.
