According to the Disney website, buses only start 45 minutes before park opening. We have 8:00 breakfast reservations on a 9:00 park opening day. Monorails are down or on limited schedule, so parking and riding looks to be off the table. We can park at Contemporary for three hours and walk to MK, but moving car will take a good bit of our park time. I heard that buses really start around 6:30 am. Suggestions?

We have caught a bus around 7:00am at POFQ to go to CP for a 8:20 ADR on a 9:00 MK day on several trips. If you are worried talk to the concierge desk . That is what I did to find out when buses started in the morning.

Buses start running at 6:30 every morning.

Resort CMs often don't know anything about how the buses work. Ask a transportation CM about transportation.

Buses start running an hour before park opening for guests who want to be at the park at opening. However, there are early buses that also run for ADRs. For us, we usually just take a cab. It's faster and then there's no waiting around, wondering when a bus will show up.

True, but the OP indicates they are going to MK. A cab cannot drop off at the MK entrance. One must get dropped at the TTC or CR. In this case, the early bus might be the best option as it gets you to the MK entrance.

We asked to be dropped off at the CR and then walk over. It's still faster than taking a bus!
