How do we get back to WL from an Illuminations Cruise??

I am thinking of splurging and booking an Illuminations cruise this October. How do we get back to the WL since we will not have a car?? When we're dropped off at the YC/BC after the cruise, can we walk/boat back to Epcot and walk thru the park to the buses that late?? Will they let us back in?? Or do we have to go to DTD and then transfer to WL?? Anyone else have suggestions??

Several options...will you have been in the park beforehand? You will need your pass to get in thru the Intrl. Gateway. If this isn't an option for you then I would suggest getting a cab.
If you are able to go back thru the park (having already used your park hopper that day) your boat captain may even let you off at the Gateway. Ours did last August. Then we just used our hopper passes at the gate and had a nice relaxed walk back to the monorail/buses.

Yes, we will have been in Epcot before the cruise and we all will have AP's. It's great to know that they will let us out at the International Gateway and back into Epcot. I was not sure we would be let back in after the park had technically closed.

We did the cruise last year (it is great, BTW) and afterwards, we rode a bus from one of the hotels back to....okay, actually I cannot remember after that

I know that we went out and waited for a bus and I think we rode to DDT and back...yeah...no, I remember! The bus driver that came took everyone there back to their hotel!! Okay, I was starting to panic and think that I was turning into my Mamaw a couple decades before my time

Anyway, I don't know if that is something typical, but it was awfully nice of him!!

After the cruise you could also ride a friendship boat to MGM and catch a bus from there. The boat drops you off relatively close to the bus stop.
