Hi, only joined at WLV in January and am struggling to plan May 2002 trip. We are hoping to visit Florida for 14 nights this time (am from the uk)

We keep changing our minds but, at currently thinking of using priceline near universal for our first two weekend nights, then three nights in a studio at Boardwalk and six nights in a one bedroom at WLV. We would then finish up four nights in a studio at Vero. Does this sound good. Anyone got some better suggestions on how to use our points.

What do you all do? Would love some input as will have to book this soon and it seems i am not as organised as many timeshare owners! Thanks.:pinkbounc

sorry - forgot to mention - there will be four of us travelling - myself (32) gary (33), Josh (7) and Jessica (4)

I think you would be better off with an oceanview inn room. We stayed once in a studio and an oceanview room ever since.

Last trip in May we spent four nights at the new Marriott Vacation Club resort, then four nights at Radisson resort, then four nights at BWV then two nights at HH on the drive home. All the resorts were great, but it never felt quite right. We felt like we were living out of suitcases because we knew we were leaving in a few days. We would still stay at HH a couple days when returning home to NJ, and we usually stay offsite at a bargain location on arrival day because mostly we just want to sleep, but I think we're done hopping around every few days. You'll be surprised how much of your time you'll spend packing up,checking out, checking in and unpacking again.

You may want to consider the weekend days at a beach location such as Tampa or in the Cape Canaveral area. It is a good idea to stay off site on weekends because of the big point difference.

As far as "living out of a bag" I like to pack a "weekend " bag for the short stays. It can be annoying but is worth it if it enables you to extend your stay, especially if making the trip from thr UK.

Have a great trip!

For our 2-week trip this past May/June, my 3 children (8yo, 4yo, and 3yo at the time) and I stayed at 5 different hotels. We started out with 1 night in Gainesville on the drive down, 2 nights at HI across from US/IOA,then 5 nights at WL, then 4 nights at the BC, and ended with 5 nights at CSR. Although I enjoyed experiencing the different resorts since I had not stayed at BC or CSR before, my now 9yo DS asked if we could please stay in one place for our next trip! It will be our first trip since being DVC members, and we have 14 nights reserved at VWL. I tried to talk him into a few nights at the BWV for the closeness to MGM and EPCOT, but he's not interested!! This was our first time to stay offsite and I did so with the idea of going to IOA/US before we got to WDW, but I really did not enjoy it at all. I kept being anxious to get to WDW. This upcoming trip we will just drive over like before from our WDW resort.

I think one move during a trip of this length is okay (have done several times), but multiple moves is a bit much for my little troopers!:)

Good luck planning your trip. So many choices!!:D

194 days and counting!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

A studio sounds small for your particular group. I am all for comfort!
