How do u handle drinking water in the parks? It is Expensive! What's your strategy??

I also bring a bottle and refill as neccesary at the water fountains. I think I might look into the bottle with the filter though - that's a great idea! Although I've never had any issues drinking from the fountains, they do taste a bit like chlorine!

We use a camelback backpack. Each of us have one. They are backpacks with bladders inside that you can fill with a hose that comes out and a mouth piece where you can sip your water. The mouthpiece is always there and water is always available to you.

In the morning we fill them with ice from the campground and then water. SOmetimes we buy one bottle of water to start the day. When we have lunch we ask for a large cup of ice water and refill the bladder. My bladder holds 3 liters. These also come in waistbags. The backpacks are varying sizes but most can at least hold your poncho for rain. We have one for each of us but I have used one when I was on a trip with just my son when he was younger.

Can you freeze the bladders the night before? I like my water cold during the day.
