if you cancel a flight is the credit one year from when you cancel or one year from when you were going to fly. also when you book with the credit can you fly after the one year would have ended if you book before it expires.

when you cancel a flight and get SW credit, the credit expires one year from the date of original purchase. You will need to use the TTF (ticketless travel funds)to complete your travel before it expires. So if you purchased your flight on 1/1/2007 and then needed to cancel it, you would need to complete any travel paid for with the TTF by 1/1/2008.
