If you aren't a resort guest, can you stay in the park, just not ride the rides?
do they scan your wristband at each ride?
TIA

Anyone can stay in the park. As far as scanning at each ride, I guess it depends. We did an evening EMH at MK about 3 months ago and every ride we went on during EMH, we never had to scan our bands.

I was pretty annoyed with that because if emh is for resort only guests, they should enforce it.

I was just about to post that this was the experience we had. We booked a night solely For EMH but not once did we have to scan our bands. I don't grudge anyone the opportunity to ride the rides however I was a little annoyed because I paid an extra $150 a night to stay onsite for EMH and others did not. Sounds really petty but i feel as if you tout something as a perk then that's what it should be.

We stayed at epcot for evening emh, our band was scanned for rides. We only tried one to see how it worked the Mexico boat ride and they let us on anyway, probably because absolutely no one was there :-) in WS that is, down by the rides was much busier

On our MK EMH night a couple of weekends ago they scanned one band in our party, not every band.

When I was at EMH at Epcot and MK two weeks ago, they scanned our bands (sometimes just one, sometimes each person) at the entrances to the rides. I think at Grand Fiesta Tour they only scanned one, but at the Mine Train they scanned each band individually.

I was wondering the same thing. We are going next February during President's week and will be staying offsite for the first time. We are only going to Disney for two days- a Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday works perfectly because we will do MK (the day before EMH so hopefully less crowded as people staying for the week will probably try to go on EMH days) and will probably go to Epcot on Friday. That's the day of evening EMH. We were thinking of doing Future World all day, then moving to World Showcase during EMH.

I know we aren't allowed to do any rides during EMH but the only one in World Showcase we really liked was in Norway and is closed (grrrr). We always wish we had more time to explore the countries and figure this is our chance.

I know Disney has no problem with people staying late and shopping. Does anyone know if they allow you into the movies at each country?

We went three months ago and did EMH at HS. We were all corralled into this area near the Little Mermaid show and it was HELL. This was specifically to go into the Pixar area though. Also, it was immediately after the Frozen fireworks so it might be changing now.

I think the only movie that is running during EMH is O Canada. Unless things have changed recently, you would need to be a resort guest to see the movie during EMH.

Sorry, but I have no idea what you mean by this.

Yes. Any operating attraction is reserved for WDW Resort guests.

They scanned our bands, every ride. It doesn't annoy me that they let off site guests stay- we use evening extra magic hours for rides only so I don't care how crowded the shops are. I don't think a lot of off site guests stay anyway. About all they can do after regular hours is spend money.

Years ago they did enforce emh, but I guess they've discovered it's a money maker to let them stay in the parks not being able to ride anything.
