How do kiosks work?

I know how to work MDE on my phone and computer- but how do the kiosks work?

Do you have to login to your MDE at the Kiosk and then pick a ride/time? I presume I can pick 'whatever' and then move things around on my own phone to get away from the kiosk?

I've heard of people booking stitch, leaving the kiosk and 2 minutes later switching it to a ride they want.

I can only answer your first question: you scan your MB instead of logging in.

I've heard about Poole making FP+ selections at the kiosk and changing them after. I think once it shows up in your own app you can change it just like you can change the original 3.

if you scan 1 band (mine) and my family is linked to me- do they also need to scan their band too? Or can I scan just mine and have access to my MDE and all those linked to me?

When I got additional FP's at HS from a CM with an iPad. I have the main MagicBand I'd guess you'd call it that everyone is linked to, so she just scanned mine and everyone else's name that was there with me came up. So I assume the kiosks are the same way.

Can you link family in different rooms to you also or is it only the people who are in your room can be linked?

We are spread out over 4 rooms. 11 of us in total. I am in charge of everyone (stressful) lol so if there was a way I could link everyone to me so when I make a reservation it makes it to them also that would be amazing! As we are a tight knit fam and won't really split up. I'm assuming this is possible but am I wrong?

You can seriously link ME to your profile if I let you. Ressies/rooms don't matter. Link whoever you want

You go up to the kiosk and one person in your party scans their magic band. You then select the members you want to use the additional fastpass for. Then there will be a list of remaining attractions with available FP. You click on one to see what is the next time. Sometimes they will have a few times listed. It has been said, and I had a CM do this as well, if you click back and try it again you may be able to find a closer time than what is selected. Sometimes though we had times only 5 minutes from our booking!

I am not sure if you can do it for your whole party. If everyone is connected under the same reservation, I think it's possible.

So along those lines, I had everyone in my family under my account, however, when my DH created his own MDE account, I no longer had access to manage his MB. He's still linked to my account and I can see his FP+s and he has access to make changes and such to our plans and vice versa according to MDE, but I can't see or manage his MB any more, meaning I don't have access to the options to deactivate it or report it lost. (Those are the only options to manage MBs in the MDE app anyway.) Would I need to have his MB to get more FP+s for all of us? Or can I do that with just my MB? And vice versa...can I just send him to get us more FP+s without him needing my MB?

And most people report, even if they got an undesireable time, that they were often able to easily change it from their phone app after walking away from the kiosk.
