
I was going to suggest the same thing. It works on white boards in a classroom.I used a Dry Erase marker to remove Sharpie ink from plastic once. I found the information on line. All you do is color over the area that has the Sharpie on it with the Dry Erase marker and then wipe off with a dry cloth. Worked like magic! I was actually surprised. I'm not sure it will work now that you've tried other products, but it won't hurt to try it.![]()

have you tried hairspray? It works on ink marks, havent tried it on sharpie but its worth a try?![]()

toothpaste! My DS got sharpie on a table once and I read this online and it worked. May remove the finish though.

Cover the offending Sharpie marker completely with dry-erase marker. The two will chemically adhere, and when you wipe away the dry-erase marker, the Sharpie will disapear as well.
I don't know that it'll work on a countertop, but I've done it numerous times on my white board.
