How do I insert a link in my signature?

I am not much of a computer expert, but I want to insert a link to my trip report into my signature. I know how to do a hyperlink in the body of a regular message, but I don't know how to do it in my signature. TIA!

Use the code below and type it into your signature. Replace the red with the address of the site you want to link to and the blue with what you want the clickable link to say.

if implemented the above code would produce this...
