Hi everyone,
we are booking a room at the HoJo and have heard we can get a disboards discount. Do we need a code when we book or how do we go about doing this....really need to book in the next 24hours so any help would be appreciated (ps, we are booking online as we are from Australia) Thanks so much!!!:cool1:

You can try the sd50 code - although I think it is only for the ent. rate. But, you could try it with and without and see if there is a price difference. :confused3 It might give you a better rate.

You really need to call in-house reservations at 714-776-6120 and request the DIS rate (I don't think you can get it online??). You should also check out what the Entertainment Card rate would be for your times. You don't need the card when you book, just when you check in. You can see if it's available and if yes, then get an Entertainment Book :thumbsup2

Hi, AussieDaisy, when are you going? Is that the trip that is mentioned in your timeline thingy, 7 months from now? And why do you need to book in the next 24 hours? If you book with a credit card, you won't be billed until you check out.

If the entertainment book rate is available for your dates, (http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14) you need to call them directly, and talk to IN-HOUSE reservations. Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time. Might mean calling at some ungodly hour for you, but it would be worth it.

I think you might also need to call for the 15% off DISboards rate.

Hope that helps, and hope you can get the rate you need! :)

aussiedaisy,

For sure call in house reservations like the above posters have said. You will get better prices from them. Ask them which is their best discount and see if you qualify for it. I asked about the DIS board rate, Mousesavers, Wyndham rewards, and AP holders get 20% off. Remember to ask if the entertainment rate is available also. I worked with Jennifer who was amazingly helpful and kind. Two of my four days became available on the Entertainment rate and she ended up giving me the rate on all four days!!! :yay::yay::yay:

Best wishes :wizard: Have a great vacation!

I did what queenbillabong suggested. I called in house reservations and mentioned the dis--and talked to a very nice girl who set it all up for me. I am more of a online reservation maker usually--but I have to say, HOJOs has GREAT customer service. Jennifer helped me and was so friendly and put down my request for a 7th floor disney view room. She said that the middle of the building is better for noise (from the freeway)--so she put us in one of those. I have never gotten that kind of service from Disneyland Hotel--and we typically stay there.

So call in house reservations and talk to them. I just called again yesterday to make sure it all is set up, and she answered my call again and remembered me right away.

You can't get that entertainment rate in the summer months typically--they only offer it certain days of the year. But you can get a lower rate by mentioning the DIS.

Oh, I just read your reply, Kathy! You had Jennifer help you too! Isn't she great? I was so impressed by the personal service they give there. We have stayed so many times onsite (we have never stayed off property)---but you never really get that kind of personal service at the DLH or GC.

I think Hojos is definitely doing something right! :goodvibes

They are really great at customer service! I am really lucky because previously there were EC dates listed in August and I did get a reservation with the $79/night rate for the last week of August. That rate is nowhere to be found now! Now I just have to decide if we are going still in August.....

Since calling isn't what you want to do, if you've used mousesavers at all while planning, you can go here and there's a promo code mentioned on that page to book online. Kinda sucks that the dis woudn't get the "credit", but if there's no code, there's no code, and no one wants you to eliminate the savings with a long distance call like that!

Thanks so much everyone for your replies, you have all been very helpful! Avalon, I wanted to book now as we just booked the flights and as it is probably a busy time of year to travel to dl I wanted to have peace of mind that I have a room reserved. I ended up booking online and putting a comment in the comment box re the dis rate. I booked a qq1 room with Disney view but do I need to request a floor? Which floor is best? Maybe I will email them about it now and
call to confirm nearer the time we travel. Any other info about hojo would be great such as what the pool is like. Thanks again!

A lot of people like the top floor at Hojo (7th floor) because being the highest floor up you have a better view. You also don't have people on top of you--so no pitter patter of little feet!

One issue is that those top floor rooms have a sky light--which is suppose to look really nice, but some people don't like it because it lets the light in. This can pose a problem in summer because the sun starts shining in very early. For me, light doesn't bother me, and I need to get up early anyhow at Disneyland, so it is fine. But if you don't like extra light, maybe pick the 6th floor.

I chose building 1 because it seems to be popular here.
