Hi everyone! I am not too familiar with the transportation within WDW, and I will traveling with my parents and 2 1/2 yo so I am hoping to streamline my travel time as much as possible we are planning to stay at POFQ, so how would we get to the following destinations......

Poly/contemporary/GF??
MGM??
Beach Club??

I am assuming that we take a bus to MK, Epcot, AK
I know a little boat will bring us to DTD

thanks in advance for any advice, greatly appreciated!!!!!!!:cutie:

you'd take a bus to MGM too.

for BC, i'd take a bus to MGM and take the boat to BC/YC

for Poly/CR/GF, take a bus to MK and then walk to CR or take the resort monorail (or boat launches if you so wish).

of course, all that could change if you weren't leaving from POFQ at the time.

you might also want to poke around with the transportation wizard at http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/twiz.asp

thanks so much.....how far is the walk from MK to CR (older parents) also any idea what the timeframe is lets say from POFQ to MK to GF?? (of course this is all in order to get to dinner ressies on time)!! TIA!!:)

they say the walkway between CR and MK is about 5 minutes. i'd maybe say more like 10.

from POFQ to MK, I'd say is about a 15-20 minute bus ride, but you need to allow for up to 20 mins or so for the bus to show up. then you'd need to walk from the bus stop to the monorail, which i'd say is another 10 minutes or so, then wait for and take the resort monorail (poly is 3rd stop?). i'd say 75-90 minutes to be safe if my math is right.

you might want to opt for a cab which should run about $20 total.

bradk........thanks so much for your quick an informative replies>>>.I really appreciate it!!:thumbsup2 Seems like a lot of "on the go" in order to get to dinner, but I guess I will have to see how it goes!

In terms of walking to Contemporary versus taking the monorail ....

Take a look at this very primitive diagram:

A----------B--------------C

B is sort of in the middle, closer to A than it is to C, but not by all that much.

A is the MK monorail station, B is the MK bus drop-off point, and C is the Contemporary. To get to the Centemporary by monorail, you have to walk away from it, and then uphill (on a sidewalk) to wait for the monorail.

You have to decide for yourself which makes the most sense for you and your party.

Although to be fair if walking from the bus stop, you would have to walk to "D", then u-turn to C to walk to the contemporary. That is because of the way the sidewalks run from the bus stop.

A-------D---B--------------C
