How do I get from DL to San Pedro next year?

Hi -

I am trying to arrange a pre-cruise stay at Paradise Pier in DL.

DL and DCL are not in agreement with who would transport us to the pier.

Does anyone who went in 2005 know of a car/limo service we could hire to take us if DL/DCL both decide they aren't transporting us?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

If you are traveling on the DCL cruise they will have transportation for you.

Mary Jo - That's what I had thought but my TA said that DL would be responsible for that transportation and DL said that DCL would be responsible. I'd like to have a back up plan in case no one does it.

My other option at this point is to save all the hassle and rent a car, but apparently that's not any less a hassle since there are no car rental agencies that have shuttle service to the pier.

Does anyone have info from 2005 they can share?

TIA

DL won't have a clue (at least they didn't in 2005), and DCL will offer the transportation. You can get the coach from the hotel to the ship to the airport, or the other way around.

Your other options would be limo or taxi, from what I remember.

Enterprise has a drop off location "across the street" from the pier, it would be impossible to walk though so they offer a shuttle.

We had a rented a car to get from Disneyland to San Pedro but I would never do that again. We got lost b/c the Long Beach Grand Prix was happening and some of the streets that mapquest told us to take were closed. It was very stressful and we got to Enterprise after they closed. Thankfully they were still in the building and let us return the car and shuttled us to the pier. We might have been okay if the Grand Prix wasn't on but who knows.

Next time I would take a cab or shuttle (we weren't on DCL so we had to arrange our own way).

So, you're saying Enterprise does have a drop-off location by the pier with shuttle service? Gotta love the DIS! You guys know more than my TA! :thumbsup2

Are there any additional car rental companies right there?

I know! The DIS is the best!!!! I've learned so much from it. Thanks to everyone who posts!!!!!

:We will be doing the same thing in 2 weeks. We are on the Radiance to Hawaii with the night before at PP. Vacation planning told me that the best is to use Prime Time shuttle. That is what they used in the past. For hubby and I from PP to the port is about $50. I can do a rental car cheaper but I really do not want to deal with that.
