O.k., I've decided on the dates: arriving in WDW on 12/14 departing on 12/20

Here's my info:

1. I have 2 kiddodles DD turns 5 while there, DS will be 3.5

2. This is our first trip.

3. DD will be celebrating her BDay there, this is also a mini-anniversary trip (15 Years)

4. We need some type of accomodations that have the bedroom separate from living (kids will drop very early in the evening and DH & I both are night owls - I know I'll be tired too, but I doubt I'll be ready for bed at 8)

5. We really need 3 beds, my kids do gymnastics in their sleep so they aren't fun to bunk with.

6. We will need to return to our room for naps every day, so a close proximity is a must.

7. We will have a car with us

8. We will have 2 strollers to contend with

9. Since this is a mini-anniversary celebration, I would like to stay in a deluxe type accomodation

10. We have not won the lottery so we would like to keep lodging under $1500

11. I would really like to have the full Disney experience

Is there anywhere we can stay that will meet all these requirements? Am I limiting myself to off resort?

Thanks!

Thanks!

You could stay at a villa... maybe rent points from some one.... other then that to fit into your budget you could get 2 rooms at a mod or a value adjoining that way the kids and sleep and you guys can stay up... other then that I dont know where you could stay but Id say like Old Key West or even Wilderness Lodge Villas might be your best bet

I would definitely check into monorail resort, since you will probably spend alot of time at MK. Research and pick your favorite decor/theme. There are 2 queens and a day bed. You would be on the monorail which would make it easy to return for nap time.

I would suggest renting points for a 2 bedroom unit from a DVC owner. This will give you 2 bedrooms (obviously :) ) a full kitchen/living area, 2 baths & a washer/dryer.

Good luck deciding.

:flower3: How does this renting points work? Is there a board about that? Sorry, this may be OT and in the wrong forum!

Go over to the Rent/Trade Board and check out the FAQs. If you are going in mid-December, you will need to get moving on getting a points reservation. This is an agreement between you and another individual. Disney is not involved in any way. The points reservation will be at a Disney Vacation Club resort, Disney's timeshare.

I'd recommend an OKW 2 bedroom since you would have two queen sized beds in the second bedroom. The washer and dryer will be full sized, not stackable.

The reservation is based on points and points usually are rented for about $10 a point, sometimes more like $11-12.
