HEY..... I had to search all the way to page 6 to find this thread! That's sad!
YUP! You must be in NE as well!

Bragging a bit on my savings at Target today. I'll NEVER be one of those extreme coupon folks, but I did pretty well today.
First of all, I met two folks on my way to Target to sell items from a FB yard sale, so arrived at Target with $9 extra in my pocket (not much, but worthwhile since I was able to combine the trips).
Then I had remembered to take the time to update my Cartwheel and check my existing Target coupons to try to find manuf. coupons to go with them. Then I was able to combine some of the coupons and cartwheel AND sales and a "buy 3 get one free" and a "get a $5 gift card" deal..... so overall it was a great savings day for me. My total upfront cost before coupons was $164.30 and after coupons and using the $5 gift card it came down to $129.64 PLUS I got two free frozen pizzas ($9 value).
This trip gave me enough toilet paper and tissues to last a few months, enough paper towel to potentially get me through the year (we use very little), cat treats to last for months, enough frozen pizzas (the only "convenience" food I buy) to last DS through many weekends, plus lots of other grocery and toiletry items and some Easter basket items.
My good coupon Karma smiled down on me (I always try to leave coupons with items that they go with, if I am not going to use them) and I got a higher value coffee coupon than what I already had.
And to top it off, the cashier had a "$5 off a $30 purchase" coupon that I wasn't familiar with and scanned it for me!!
How are you all doing saving money today?.................P
ETA: Forgot to mention.... stopped to fill my gas tank, since I noticed that the price had dropped about 4 cents a gallon recently and used my coffee punch card to treat myself to a FREE decaf for the ride home!
You must be shopping at Market Basket right?![]()
