Here is the scenario:
DH's stepgrandfather apparently saw one of my friend's facebook pages. I put a "like" on my friend's status update. The FB friend has a daughter with the same name as my dd,and he was posting an update on her condition (she is in the hospital and is making improvements). I never put a comment, just a "like".
DH's SGP does not know this person at all, but is my FB friend.
I have my account settings for Friends to see things, but no Friends of Friends.
I got a call from MIL and apparently all of DH's extended family thinks that MY DD is in the hospital for pneumonia! Poor DH's grandmother has been worried sick for no reason. Apparently DH's stepgrandpa got to my FB friend's page, saw the status update that HE WROTE and it had the child's name (same as my DD) and he thinks that it was about my DD???
So basically when I post something on another FB page, if that person doesn't have their privacy setting to Friends only, then my family can read their pages? The family now is in agreement DH's stepgrandpa shouldn't be on FB!! He's already under suspicion by the family for possible online gambling...thinking of blocking him from my FB now!
