How did DVC ownership change your trips?

100%
I can’t break the LLMP cycle. It doesn’t matter whether I need it, I must have it!
Ok. I think after this trip I’ve decided I will still book LLMP. It’s useful. And I love saving the time. But I don’t need to be in a park all day, and I really could spend every other day as a resort day and be perfectly happy!

I think my happy spot is doing less, but doing the rides I most love, and doing some of the chill activities in between. For example…at Epcot, I get in Guardians, Soarin’ and Living with the Land and I’m good to go. The rest of the time I can explore countries. Or go back to my room and drink some good coffee on my deck or hang out in a hot tub. Take a day off the next day. Rinse and repeat.

My kids still want to do parks every day. And we can do that. But my spouse and I can definitely enjoy some chill time to relax, too.

I agree, you can knock out the parks very quickly and have time to relax and/or park hop.

It actually slowed my travel down. I own 240 points and have to have larger rooms when I go. I was averaging about 3 weeks a year, but now I travel less than 12 days a year due to the fact that I stop when I run out of points. 😅 In the past I did a lot of last minute trips renting from DVC members who needed to rent their points.

I am the outlier in a lot of ways. My first visit to WDW was when I was 28 years old. I went about every 3 months until I bought my DVC at 30. My DVC actually slowed me down, which I find to be a good thing since it seems to help with the finances when my brain sees that there’s only a certain amount of trips I can make work with my contract. 🙄🤪

Most people add more when this happens, I commend your restraint 😆
