How crazy are the parks during Christmas break?

Hello! I have not been to WDW in four years but would love to go during Christmas which would be a first for us. I thought the first week of December (2-6, Monday through Friday) would be less busy, and I was surprised to see that NOTHING was available. We have therefore waitlisted a two-bedroom at Kidani Village.

Is this week particularly busy for DVC members? How are the crowds that particular week after Thanksgiving? Thanks in advance!

Twenty/Twenty Five years ago, the first two weeks in December was the best time to visit in December. The last ten to 15 years has become very popular due to the festive activities and lower points. If you have your heart set on going at this time of year ( IMHO, the Beat time to visit WDW ) then I would waitlist OKW and SS also. Hopefully it works out for your family.

The first two weeks of December for DVC are busy because it’s in the Christmas season with relatively low points. I would say generally speaking that DVC crowds don’t always agree with the crowds in general at WDW.

As for the busyness compared to Thanksgiving, I find they are still quite a bit less busy (at least the immediately following week).
