How crazy are summer weekends at Legoland

We'll be in Anaheim for about a week, mainly focused on DL. We do want to see legoland, and figures a Sunday might be our best bet as far as getting out of DL on a really crowded day. How do you think legoland crowds will compare?

I have only been to Legoland once, as I don't have children (other than my DH), but I seem to remember that it can get fairly crowded. I would plan ahead and look to see what is there that you have to do, want to do, ect and concentrate on those "have to" then go down the list.

Weekends in the summer can be quite crowded at Legoland, especially since the water park opened a couple years ago. The weekend traffic heading south can be very bad as there is also a lot of beach traffic. Sunday should not be as bad as a Saturday as most of the beach rentals are Sat. to Sat., so that adds to the traffic. It took us 3 hours once intead of 75 minutes. Rides at Legoland are very slow-loading,so while a line may look short by DL standards, it can take an hour. Believe the posted wait times. Since I am blocked out in summer at DLR, I am not sure how to compare the crowds for you or to suggest which to visit on Sunday. Just be prepared for crowds either way. Unfortunately no FPs at Legoland! Have a great trip!
