How cool is night early September?

We're going on the eastern the first week of September. How cool does it get on deck at night time? Should I pack one light weight jacket for each of us or will it not be needed?

Our cruise was warm the entire time, however, I always pack a sweater or light jacket for everyone..Sometimes the :sunny: during the day gets the better of us, and we feel cool. There is a nice breeze, and if it is not too humid, then it could be a cool breeze.. :thumbsup2

We walk up on deck 9 after the late show almost every night in December and have never needed a jacket. It is breezy but not cold.

Personally - I would pack a light sweater. I HATE being in A/C that makes me cold. We cruised in late October, and I needed the sweater more for the theaters and restaurants, not outside on the decks.

We really don't have light weight sweaters - with PA winters, we have lots of HEAVY sweaters though ;) I'm still undecided about it. I really want to minimize our packing and am slightly scared of packing for WDW and a cruise. Maybe I'll take 1 long sleeve light weight cotton top for me and each of my DSs (DH NEVER gets cold!!!!).

I'll see what other posters have to say, too.

Thanks for the replies so far!!!!

We had high winds on our cruise. Bring a light jacket or sweatshirt just in case. Hopefully you won't need it.

Do the shops on board have lightweight sweaters/sweat shirts that you could buy in case you don't pack one? :confused3

Yes, they do, and VERY nice, as well as VERY $$$... :teeth:

We are from the UK so it's warm all the year on the DCL for us (despite the fact that it is currently in the high 80's here at the moment!!).

We have never taken jackets or pullovers and have never regretted it either!

Cruised Sept 05 it was sometimes cool enough on deck for a light weight jacket. Only if you were sailing if you were in port it was fine. I had a jacket with me because I had read that some of the dining room were cool, and they were.
I would take something from home or if you don't and you decide you need one pick one up at one of the ports don't buy one on the ship you will pay a small fortune.

We went the 2nd week of Sept last year, only packed shorts & t-shirts (except for clothes for formal night), and were warm to hot the whole time. The thought of it being cool in the Carribbean never even crossed my mind. But maybe a long sleeved t-shirt would be a good idea just in case and that wouldn't take up much room in your suitcase.
