I'm on vacation. I don't want to make my bed. LOL.

For most properties, the labor costs of cleaning rooms is close to the (if not the) most expensive line item in operations, and it's something that is fairly easy to live without. So, nearly all timeshares (including DVC) choose to do without. Many don't even have the midweek trash and tidy. One thing I have been wondering is why do DVC member staying on points only get Housekeeping service every 4 days or whatever the exact number is?
And truthfully, most people do not "miss" daily housekeeping. Most people don't change their sheets and towels daily at home. I prefer not to have housekeeping in the room daily.

And the irony is that before we joined DVC, I never would have expected to feel this way. The lack of daily housekeeping was a sticking point that contributed to us not considering DVC for years. Finally we joined, comforted by the knowledge that we could get daily maid service if we paid for it. What were we thinking?

We have gotten so used to not having Housekeeping come into the rooms that we typically leave the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our regular hotel rooms all the time now! :
