This is a good article since the summer vacation season is upon us. Since I have a little one now, I definitely clean surfaces than I ever did when in restaurants, airports, planes, etc. Also you can find Clorox disinfecting wipes in a travel size pack. I found mine at Target, and it was "flight friendly"--so it fit in my quart size Ziploc bag. My DH thinks that I go a little overboard but it is worth eliminating teh chance of us catching a bug.

I already bring my own blanket and pillow. This in additon to taking boht airborne and a prevententive dose of Dayquil pre and post flight. Now I'm really thinking about folding a couple of disinfected wipes to toss in my carry-on. :confused3

Ironically Skymall now has airplane seat covers that can be tossed in the machine after use. I have friends who are frequent flyers who have actually bought them, all for the peace of mind.

DH and I flew home from FLL airport 3 weeks ago. Our plane was late in coming in (to our departing city) and it looked as thogh there would be a delay. The plane arrived a few minutes later and within 2 minutes of the final passenger disembarking from the plane they announced that they were boarding our flight.

A flight attendant friend of mine told me that they clean form the back to the front and often don't do more than look for trash and fix the magazines.

I will be bringing clorox wipes with us when we fly next week.
