How can I retrieve my reservation?

I've got two reservation numbers from Disney US: an 8-digit one and a 12-digit one. Neither will work when I try to retrieve my reservation online! I'm not sure why this is. Any ideas? :)

Lauren, are you trying to retrieve your accommodation ressie?

Sorry Lauren, I am editing this post now to add the info. I am assuming you are talking about your resort reservation, but didn't have time to post all the details if you were talking about dining ressies.

Assuming it is for your Disney hotel package, I suspect you may be on the wrong Disney website. You don't go onto Disney.com. You need to go to www.mydisneyreservation.com

Once you are there it will ask for your details. You have to have the 12 digit reservation number for this one. You will be presented with a box asking how you booked. You have to select "Through a resort or convention". This is to do with the way our UK tickets are structured. Then you just add your info and you should be able to see it. Give me a shout if you get stuck.

Hope this helps. Oh and if you meant ADRs, you can just laugh at me for being off topic! :lmao:

::yes::

I'm trying to retrieve it through the US site, so I'm safe in the knowledge that everything will work when I come to make my ADRs next month.

Sorry Lauren - again! I edited my last post which I submitted before I had time to add the details. I think I was editing while you were posting.

I'm making a real mess of your thread here! :rolleyes1

GOD Lee! :mad::mad::mad:

Only joking. :flower3:

Basically, I'm trying to access my reservation so I know that when my ADR day comes around (March 19th), the system will recognise my reservation number and everything will run smoothly. This is where I was trying to do it, to no avail: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/?type=generic.

Unfortunately, I've just tried doing it via the link you provided but that doesn't work either. :( Maybe it's a digit out or something? Argh, it's very frustrating! I've tried both the 8-digit and 12-digit numbers but it's just not recognising either.

I didn't post it as a link - I just typed in the address. I will try the link. Did you manage to get the page open?

https://secure.reservations.disney....al_Default_Page&process=false&pageRender=true

It won't work on the Disney.com site so you have to go to the one I posted or the link above.

Also you have to use the 12 digit. You cannot use the 8 digit for this one as it is the US reservation retrieval site and they all have 12 digit numbers.

And you made me :rotfl2::lmao: with your first line .... :)

If you are specifically wanting to do a dummy run with your ADRs before your window opens you have to try a dummy booking for a date at least 181 days from now. Otherwise it doesn't need your ressie no so it wont give you the option to add it in.

I clicked on the link in your first post (have a look- it's come up as a link!) and it took me to the same page as the link you've just posted in post #6. Does that make sense?! :rotfl: Anyway, I followed what you said and it's just not working. I used the 12-digit number provided by Disney US and it's just not accepting it!

I'm not really sure what to do... I'll probably have to call them.

Hi,

I only seem to have a 6 digit reservation number, can someone tell me how I go about getting the 12 digit number please. My 6 digit number does not seem to work for anything ?

thanks

:thumbsup2

I just went to check on the site and it isn't working at the moment. I have used it countless times and never had a problem so not sure what is going on at the moment.

And apologies for the confusion on the link and no link :upsidedow It has been one of those days ......

Your 6 digit number will only work with your UK booking agent, so if it is Disney UK you could use it to view your booking on the Disney UK site; ditto for virgin and a few others.

If you phone whoever you booked with and tell them you need your US reservation no. for your ADRs they should be able to give it to you over the phone, or at the very least, email it to you.

Thanks for letting me know. Typical for it not to be working on the day I decide to try it out!

I'll try it again tomorrow. Thanks for your help Lee. :goodvibes

I've tried inputting my reservation number a few times and have the same problems as you :confused3

Let us know how you get on :)

I can only think there is a problem with the site. I have been using that one since last January to check my reservations on the US site and had no problems until yesterday.

Hey, just spoke to reservations and got an entirely different number to use with the online system. It's 3 letters then 5 numbers. She said it would work in place of the 12 digit number. We'll see tomorrow!!!!

It's very odd. I tried it again yesterday- no joy!

I received an email from Disney UK with some interesting information:

"You will not be able to see your package details on the USA website, if you try the 12 digit reference number nor the booking number with the letters. To see your package information, you will want to visit the UK website www.disneyworld.co.uk. The 12 digit reference number is just what it is. It is to be used when you book your dining reservations. It is just a number which allows the dining booking system to recognize you have a booking with a Walt Disney World Resort and a dine plan package."

Kate, I would push for the 12-digit reference number if you want to book your ADRs online. If not, the 8-digit one should be ok to do them via phone.

I just got my 12 digit reference from my travel agent and had to try it out.

Used http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/res.../?type=generic.

Registered with them and then typed in my number. Hey presto....I can see my reservation :yay:

Do you mind telling us how you did this? I've just tried again and it's still not working. When it asks how you booked your stay, which one did you select? 'Directly with Walt Disney World', 'Using a Disney Vacation Club membership', 'Through a Travel Professional' or 'Other'?

How I checked my ressie.

OK bear with me, I bookmarked this page yesterday and it automatically takes me to it now. So I'm doing it step by step on my iphone!

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/

Right hand side...My reservation

Sign in(or create account)

Ok that just takes me directly to my reservation. Sorry

When I first entered my ressie number I selected Travel Agent, I used Complete Orlando UK, got my 12 digit number, no letters.

If you get to a page with Cinderalla and girls in blue dressesand you have 4 options, room+tickets, room only etc then it won't recognise the number :confused3

I remeber using your link http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/res.../?type=generic. from your previous post. Lee's link gave me the Cinderella page.

Sorry can't be more help, I guess I just got there by fluke! If you get it, bookmark it! :flower3:

Thanks Nikki. Still no joy for me I'm afraid!

I know I'm on the right bit because I've changed it to Disney US at the bottom of the page. The page you mention with Cinderella and the four options is where you enter your UK reservation number (which works fine). Anyway, it's just saying that the information does not match their records.

I'm pretty sure the number is correct as I have obtained it from two separate sources. Weird! :sad2:
