How can I give you a Florida quiz...i've never been!!! 3-17th July 2010

I am looking forward to just staying at HRH. I think that experience will be fun. And I think the Express will be helpful anyway with all of the other rides and attractions, saving more time to do HP once or twice each day we're there. :thumbsup2

Yikes, :scared1: not looking too good for express pass then...!!!

I spoke to a lady at reception when i booked and she did state that the room key would be valid for unlimited FOTL access and ONE FOTL access to Harry Potter and the forbidden journey! so there's still some hope!

I suppose it won't have much impact on my strategy (head to harry potter land 1st thing) but could have a big impact on my wait time! similar to yourself; if the queue-ing experience and ride itself takes an hour, even before taking in additional waiting in line time, how much of the day am i prepared to give up?!

hopefully the crowds will have died down by september and you will get a few go's!:)

Maybe onsite guests get certain benefits like Disney guests do with EMH.

I think the EP is worth the extra money (I hope that your talking about the one I'm thinking about  ) You could always queue for that one ride and then use the EP for other rides in the park like Hulk etc :goodvibes

:welcome: your's was one of the first trip reports i ever came across so excited you've came by:cool1:!!! any thoughts on my itinerary from a july expert:goodvibes?

Plans look great! I may be a summer expert but I have never been over the 4th so I'm just preparing for the worst! Haha! Honestly, I think the key is to just be prepared for lots of crowds, get to the parks early, know what you want to get done, and just soak it all in! We are Epcot people so for us, if nothing else, it's never too crowded to walk around World Showcase with a drink in hand! :thumbsup2

Hey I am here!! I think it's so awesome that you are taking your man to Disney World!! I hope he loves it!! The guy I'm into now is totally invited to our trip and doesn't want to go! He says Disney is just "not his thing". :scared1: He is probably moving to Florida though! Lucky him! So he'll probably at least stop by WDW when I go. But I just know its important to have a man who at lets "gets" Disney!! Can't wait for more!!

I love all your clothes!! That bishop's former house looks amazing!! I'm in love with it!! I want to go to Ireland so bad! I have a little boy whose about a year and a half though so I probably won't do any huge, out of country traveling until he is a bit older. :sad2:

Sounds good Nikki, pity DBF will be driving we will have to save our first 'drinking around the world' for when we get to stay onsite, but looking forward to finding out which park DBF likes best, my bets are on Epcot, becaue he likes science and lovely surroundings which is prob a good mix of future world and world showcase.

:cool1: watched one of the bring it on sequels this week (such a cheesy movie) and they were staying in Hard rock hotel in orlando at a cheerleading competition! DBF thought looked really 'plush', really looking forward to our short stay!

hey stefy, the room key acts as an unlimited express pass whereas the one you buy at the gates is good for only one express queue per ride...i think...:rotfl: but will definitely come in handy for all the other rides. i think the queues for Harry Potter and crowds in general are going to be manic...but as long as everybody's friendly i don't mind:goodvibes...

Hey Cathy! Came over from Jennifer's PTR, and I'm all caught up now. I love the clothes you've bought for Disney so far, they are totally my style :) And the Minnie Mouse notebook is adorable!

The Minnie notebook is so cute! And I love that you have a "fourth draft itinerary" :rotfl: I don't even know what number draft our itinerary is on. It's a spreadsheet on Google Docs, so I don't know how many times I've changed it since we started planning :hippie:

Oh and you are WAY ahead of me in the game...I don't even have a boyfriend and I'm dreaming of Disney weddings, moons, etc. :rotfl2:

I LOVE your "potential evening dress". It is too cute!!

Great update... I love the 'sailor' theme outfit in the beginning and the dress is beautiful! You always purchase the cutest clothes! It's nice to take a break from studies and spend some time doing things you enjoy...

Our first visit, we purchased tickets with Undercovertourist. We did have a small issue, but it was resolved quickly. I love receiving any king of Disney mail!! <3

Thanks, I like dressing up but want to tread carefully the line between fashion and comfort for disney! shorts don't look that nice on me, and trainers/sneakers just don't always work with dresses, o the trials of being a girl! what sort of shoes do you wear to the parks?

Glad you enjoyed it though :thumbsup2 bummer about your camera though.

Hi!
About the park footwear.. have you tried Havaianas flip flops?!
I got a pair for October 2008 trip to WDW and wouldn't wear anything else now!
They're made of some kind of special rubber from Brazil which keeps your feet cool and doesn't rub your feet! :thumbsup2
I have a bright pink pair, there's loads of other colours though - I'm already thinking of getting white & gold pairs for Disneymoon next year! :cloud9:

I did some research into good 'theme park footwear' after our trip in 2006, when I just bought pretty flipflops from Accessorize to wear in the parks - they rubbed my feet so badly that I got an infection in a cut.. my foot swelled up on the plane home & I had to be on antibiotics for three weeks once we got home! :scared1: .. talk about post-disney blues! lol

Hope you've had a nice weekend! Mine's been good even though I've spent most of it studying for next exam :surfweb: !

Emma princess: x

Havaianas! Disneybarbie took the words right out of my mouth. They are great flip flops. I never have a problem when I walk around in them at Disney. And the best thing about Havaianas (besides being super comfy) is that they come in all different designs & colors, so you could totally get away with wearing a nice solid color with a dress :thumbsup2

I always wear Reefs. Super comfy flips! They aren't "cute" exactly but they are not ugly. I wear them with skirts and dresses.

This is the new pair that I just bought. (I have them in almost every color! Have to buy a new pair every year because they mold to your feet, especially if they get wet.)

I haven't bought these because they are kind of expensive but how cool is this!! A bottle opener on the bottom! They make them in men's too!

Nikki - I am SO with you. I wear Reefs all the time to the park. They are comfortable and I find that they "break in" with a few wears and mold to my feet. They never cause blisters, and they can get wet (rain, puddles, wet rides) and dry out very quickly. I always vote Reefs!! :thumbsup2

My all-time favorites are the Gingers.
1660_brown-brown.jpg

They come in lots of colors, are inexpensive, and can dress-up or dress-down any outfit. I wore these to an afternoon charity wine-tasting today with a cute brown dress. I thought they dressed it up just nicely.

That's funny! My favorites are Sandy or Lily. They are pretty much the same as Ginger but with the thicker strap.
