How can I get a copy of my husband's cell phone bill?

Hi all...
I haven't been on here in FOREVER! Too much going on with the kids and such. Hope everyone is doing well!

My question is simple. My husband has a cell phone and I'm not on it. I want a copy of his bill to see who he has been calling. Am I entitled to it since I am his wife? Can I go to the store and request it? A friend of mine that I work with said I should call and have them fax it to me by pretending I am him. Do you think that would work?

Recently I found out he was having frequent phone conversations with a single woman. I know he never met with her, but it's killing me to know if they are still in communication. He says no...but I still want to see it in black and white. I think if the phone bill comes and he gets it before me I will never see it.

If you have a cell too or know what company he is with there is a device that will send you alerts of all calls made from that phone...I forget now what it is but, post your question at WomanSavers!! They always have really good suggestions about this stuff.

He sent me a text message letting me know he was on to me...they appear to have an email option (Sprint) but I don't know if he gets email on his phone also. I guess that would be another question. I have access to his email so if I jumped on it online and deleted the email quickly would it still be on his phone?

I'm not with Sprint, but IF your husband has never gone online to create a password, then you can do it. Otherwise, you'll need to know his password to do it. If you can manage to get online (if it's like Cingular), you can view calls, both incoming and outgoing.

I hate reading about all these husbands of ladies on the DIS that seem to be cheating (not saying that he is, but calling a single woman HELLO!). What is going on.

Boy is your post timely. I received our cell phone bill this week. The bill is joint with my husband and I since we share minutes. Typically, our bill is around $100, we never go over our minutes and in fact have way too many. Well, this bill was $343!

First I called Sprint to see if there was a problem with our plan. Nextel and Sprint had recently merged so I thought maybe there was an issue with that. Nope, he said we had just used a lot more minutes this month.

Sprint has a feature that you can down load and do an anaylsis of the bill. Which I used to try to figure out what was going on. I found out that my husband and another woman had called each other 157 times during the month! I was floored.

Now are marriage is in shambles, we were already having problems. I could go back one year and this has been going on the entire time. The reason I noticed it this month is we are doing some major renovations with lots of calls to Lowes, contractors, etc. I knew they talked, but I didn't think anything about it.

My husband plays in the band at our church and she is the leader, so I knew they called to discuss things, and our families did things together. Our kids are close to the same age. Wow was I a fool!

So, here I am at 4:10 in the morning unable to sleep. My point is go for it sister and maybe you can nip in the bud! Don't be a trusting fool like I was.

Since he is "on to you" why not tell him that you absolutely positively want to see the current bill and he better show it to you? Tell him if he hides it- you will assume he has to hide something.

If it were me I would simply ask to see his last statement. If he refuses, there is your answer. I hope it all goes the way you wish.

If you have to go to great lengths to get a phone bill, there is a problem to start with.

In a marriage you should be able to say, honey let me see your cell bill. A husband might be a bit miffed I suppose, but nonetheless, you are his wife.

Ask to see the bill.

While my husband and I have separate bank accounts, we still put each others names on the accounts. He also files everything where I can get to it if needed. We don't hide bills from each other. I would definitely outright ask to see the bill. If there is nothing to hide he should hand it right over.

KerriSue...I agree with you that there has been a lot of posts regarding spouses cheating. It is very sad.

These were my thoughts too. If he is "on to you" then he already knows your relationship is in trouble. Get thee to a marriage councilor !

You should INSIST on seeing it. If he is hiding nothing then he will show you, even if he thinks your crazy, he will show you to put your mind to ease. IF he is hiding something then he will not show you.
Lets just put it like this, if I suspected dh was keeping something big from me and he covered it up, all you know what would break lose until he proved that I was the one who was in the wrong.
You girlfriend must not back down on this one if you suspect something.

have you asked to see his cell phone bill? if not, just ask. if you have asked and he refuses, then you have your answer, and he is a dirty rotten scoundrel.

I've changed our password online with Verzionwireless and it always sends a text message to DH's cell phone. I check for billing problems so that is how DH knows I may have forgotten to pay a bill. I hope you are able to beat DH to the bill in the mail. My SIL went through this same cell phone scenario. She finally got the bill in the mail and it did confirm her suspicions. They are working things out though so it's not all gloomy. Good luck and I hope the bill is "clean".

This happened to a dear friend of mine a few years ago. She had to be sneaky, but she got it.

She called the customer service number and asked for a copy, said she lost the first one and needed to pay bills. It took her a few times to get to the most gullible rep. on the phone who would do it without all the correct information (she didn't have his password), but it worked.

Paid off in the end too, alimony is nice.

I have Sprint. When I frst went on line the default sign on was my phone number as the user ID and the last 4 digits of my SS# as the password. Once I logged in I changed my password. Good luck!

I agree with other posters that as his wife you should be able to tell him you want to see the bill and he should show it to you if he has nothing to hide. But, since this doesn't seem to be the case, can you try to go online at night, while he is asleep and not monitoring his cell phone for messages re: changed passwords, etc?

I think I would want to catch him as apposed to approaching him. I wouldn't want to deal with possible lies. I believe lieing & cheating go hand in hand. I wouldn't want him to know I was checking either. Even if that means hiring someone to follow him and take pictures. I'd get a good lawyer and blindside him.
