I don't know if this has been suggested, but to gain weight you should multiply your weight by 20. That is the number of calories you need to gain weight. You may have to go a bit higher if your metabolism is that fast.
I would be cautious about just going high fat to put on weight. Things like nuts and avacados would be preferable to cake and ice cream.
BTW to lose weight multiply your weight by 10 and try to stick to that # of calories per day. TO maintain your weight, mulitply by 15. I have not tried the 15 or 20
but the 10 x my body weight is helping me to lose weight.
