DH and I are unexpectedly getting a one day trip to Epcot on March 17th or 18th. I have been many times, but have never seen the Flower and Garden show there. Is this a spring break time? How busy will it be? Easter is April 4th. Just trying to figure out if it would be worth it. (Son is moving to Orlando area from Wisconsin and we are driving one of his vehicles down for him and flying back. Might as well get a day in at the parks!) Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Nobody really knows. It does appear parks are busier now and probably will continue to be. I would recommend reading the 'Here and Just Back' thread to get an idea of what people are experiencing now and plan for it to be at least the same.

March 17 is St. Patrick's Day. I don't know how that figures into the equation, but you're talking of going to the park known for "drinking around the world." It might make a difference.

On the availability calendars for Theme Park Tickets Guests and Disney Resort Guests, the only March days that currently have at least one park fully booked are March 13-20. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that's Spring Break for a lot of schools. It is for the Orange County, Florida, public schools at least, so you should expect a lot of locals at the parks that week.

We will be there March 13 - 19 for my spring break. I'm in a different school district than my son, whose spring break is Easter Week. We are in South Mississippi. It varies in our state from mid-March to Easter for our spring breaks. I was able to get park reservations for all the parks I wanted on the days I wanted but I noticed that HS was showing booked for that week and MK was booked one of those days on the site.

MK is now booked the 15th - 18th... some people said the last few weeks had parks booked up also. I never check it though.

That will be during Spring Break.
While it won't be a s busy as previous years, I would expect it to be close to Christmas busy.
Plan well, and enjoy.

We have a 4 day weekend in mid-march, it used to be a 5 day weekend for some reason. Spring break starts for some schools in March. Let's be honest here, as people start to come out more... it's going to be crowded. They will still have "limits," whatever those are.... but people will start filling up the parks.

That being said. We are going in March at least once! I am conditioned now to deal with crowds, and just make the best of it. If you can't get on rides, focus on experiences and the experience. If it is absolutely miserable, head the hotel and enjoy a drink by the pool. :-)

That week is the week Orlando Public Schools have Spring Break. (And it is the first week of Spring Break "season" for schools around the country.)

Years ago, we went over Spring Break. Super busy.
Its all attitude and you make the best of it.
I wouldn't do it again, but we had fun and it was a good trip.
