How busy is Thanksgiving?

My son is in his senior year of high school next year and can't miss any school. So we are thinking either TG or the week after Christmas, neither of which is optimal but what is a family to do?

So I was thinking either TG or the first week of January. I know the weather will definitely be nicer in November but we are also concerned about flight costs and how busy the parks are.

Any advice?

1- No guarantees, there.

2- First week of Jan. will see lighter crowds than Thanksgiving.

We just went over Thanksgiving this year. We followed easywdw recommendations. We had a great time and did all the attractions we wanted to do. We also hit a MVMCP which helped to fit in attractions at MK. If my only choices were Thanksgiving or the week after Christmas, I would definitely choose Thanksgiving. It is still better than summer crowds.
