I know this question has been asked before so please forgive me, I was planning a trip in the 2nd week of june, but i now have been tranfered to another job at my work and will start training June 5..

How much more busy is July compared to June, we will be staying on-site and of course using FOTL.

Thanks

I visited Universal Orlando last July. It was crowded as well as hot!

It will be crowded, but with FOTL you'll be fine. Go early and then enjoy the hotel pool during the hotest hours of the day. Then go back to the parks at night. The good thing about July is the parks are open late and if it's after July 4th, you'll be able to enjoy fireworks.

Yep, July is one of the busiest and hottest months. Even with FOTL the wait can be 20-30 mins. Take your time and get there early.

We were there last July and it wasn't bad at all. Yea it was hot, but Universal did an aweosme job at keeping everyone cool. With huge fans and sprinklers they did a much better job at keeping guests cool than Disney did. When it came to crowds, there were hardly any. We got to the parks at around 2:00 or later each day, and were able to do and see everything we wanted, with revisiting our favorite attractions. After around 6:00 the park was completely empty. There were times when there was NO WAIT for The Mummy at all. We loved it, and are going back this summer!

We've been twice in July, '02 and '03. Both times we stayed onsite. With Fotl, we arrived at the parks at opening time and did everything we wanted by about 2 p.m. I don't know if the crowd levels have picked up since we were there. The only way I would go in July is with fotl though.

July thru the 1st two weeks of August are the most busy months of the year.

Here's my TR from last July 6th - 8th.

Yes, you'll have FOTL, but it's the heat that will get you. Like others have said, go early, tour the park, and go back to your room around 1pm.
Most people arrive at 11am, and the place becomes a zoo. Plus it gets burning hot once the sun is overhead. It's 90 degrees, and the sun is directly over head shining down on painted concrete.

Here's a little secret. The parks usually open early in the summer, around 08:30am. They don't advertise this, it just happens. Go in the park early, take a lap of rides, then eat lunch at Mythos at 11:30am. Go back to your room and hang out for a few hours. In our case, we went to the pool or watched a movie. At 5pm, come back to the parks and stay until the fireworks at 09:50pm. That's when your FOTL will come in handy, you'll walk on all the rides and it won't be hot out.

We were there from July 9 - August 6 (we rented a house off-site), and it was empty all summer. Attendance at Universal has been horrible the past few years, with last year hitting an all-time low. My father works at NBC and insiders are starting to say that NBC is thinking about completely dropping the Universal parks if things don't start changing. That's why they added so many new attractions this year!
