How big are the refridgerators on board?

But do know they are coolers not refrigerators, they worked fine for me. (kept my wine cold) but I would not trust them for medication that needed to be kept cold. They are I would say2-3 feet tall and about 18 inches wide. The type you would see in a minibar under a counter.

Sure do, I kept water bottles, pepsi one and a bottle of wine in mine with no problems. If you put it in warm though it will take a while to get cold.

You could probably be creative and fit three six-packs in there with a little room to spare.

A couple of points regarding the note that they are "cold boxes" rather than refrigerators: First, if you do need to keep medication cold, I believe that they can swap in an actual fridge for you. If this is a concern, talk to the cruise line or your travel agent. Second, we usually pack a collapsible, soft-sided cooler and use it to cool down our drinks (the room steward will fill it with ice for you, they are usually easy to find on the first day of the cruise). Once the drinks are chilled on ice, the room cooler keeps them nice and cold. It takes the better part of a day for the cooler to get something from room temperature to drinkable, however.

What category room has a refrigerator? I dont even remember one last time, but then again maybe it wasnt that important to us.

we have been in Cat. 5 and 6 and always had a cooler, it is right under the tv stand. If you were not looking for it you may not notice it. I would think all staterooms have one.

We will need an actual fridge for medicine and Disney said they will put an actual fridge in the room for that and not to put medicine in the fridge like box that is there since it will not keep in there.

After learning the ropes on our first WONDERful DIS cruise, we came prepared for our MAGICal second DIS cruise and had a cooler full of iced drinks in the car for our drive to Port Canveral from Atlanta. We then brought the chilled drinks on-board as carry-on, and got to our stateroom early and were able to load them quickly into the cool box. They stayed cold. As others note, when we put room temp drinks in the cool box on our first cruise, it took a couple days to cool them down.

Wildabouttheworld and CourtasanSatine--

In four cruises I've NEVER encountered any difficulties with the in-room refridgerators. We always bring a 12 pack of Coca-Cola onboard and they have always been ice cold by the evening of the first day. The Coke is always room temp (actually, probably warmer) when we put it in.
