We just found out that there is a possibility that DH can attend a conference in Orlando Summer of 2010. THere is a possibility that we can add on a vacation and get his airfare covered etc. DS has autism and we have used the GAC card with great success in the past, so I am not worried about that. We would use the time to visit a few more sites in Florida too. I am well aware it will be very HOT as well. Although hot sounds good after a really cold month here.

You are right about the weather it will be hot.

I am sure most of the US schools break for the summer holidays mid-June, so I doubt the parks will be quiet. However, not as busy as it will be in July.

Nothing like as busy as peak summer, Easter or Christmas but above average crowd attendance I would say.

Yes it will be getting hot. Yes the parks will get crowded. It is a low cost trip so take it. It is not often you get such a deal like this one.

You know how to use the GAC. Stroller or push chair helps the kid avoid crowds. EAr muffs or ear plugs for the noise. Worry beads, toys, bits of food and other things to make line waiting go by fast.

Get a good guide for the parks and use it to make plans so you have options if things change. Go on EMH nights when it is cool or mornings early so you are able to get to the rides you want to be at. Even if the ride or show is not on the EMH list you would be able to get in an hour early and be right there to be first to ride something not on the list. Take a midday nap and rest at your resort. All the resorts of play areas and pools. The best thing bout summer is the extended hours.:wave2: pixiedust: :grouphug:

We are still waffling but there is a good chance that we will probably go then and be able to tour other things in Florida too. We don't mind heat and humidity we live in Illinois and there are times when it is cooler in Florida than in Illinois in the summer. :confused3

It's very hot and crowded however we used GAC and didn't have many waits at all.

Hubby would never go back at the end June again-the heat didn't bother me as much. The kids were grumpy sometimes due to the heat.

We used Tour Guide Mike when we went in July 2 years ago. Following his suggestions, it really didn't seem crowded! I was dreading going at peak season, but dh is a teacher now, so that is the only time we can go. I would do it again if I could use TGM again!
The heat didn't bother me, the humidity did, but I have lung problems.

Yesterday I went to Disneyland. First ride was Buzz and we walked right onto the ride. Waited in about a minute. We then walked onto Star Tours and a 10 minute wait maybe. We came off and in that time the line for Buzz was out the building and Star Tours had grown also.

What I am saying is that all parks are slow in the morning especially weekdays. Locals are in school or working for example. People do not want to hit the bust at 7:30 so they can be at a park early. Early magical hours and being at the gate half an hour before it opens helps you get to rope drop. I would take the train around to Frontierland as the train leaves at rope drop and you get there with little walking and save energy.
