How bad are crowds during Golden Week in TDR?

I'm thinking about doing TDR from April 25 to May 1 and was wondering how bad crowds would be given that it's golden week. I went on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the New Year Event this year and was wondering if crowds would be worse than that.

I’m not sure how it will compare to New Years but we did everything we possibly could to avoid Golden week for our trip this year. I’ve read it’s pretty bad crowd wise in all of Japan during that time
