We will be arriving at PBH on Monday for 3 days so I am guessing that is where we will be when tropical storm (or maybe hurricane) Fay hits. I have heard great things about Disney during hurricanes does anyone have experience of being at Universal during a hurricane eg do they have back up generators etc??

During one of the hurricanes last year a few people on this board brought their families and pets to the hotels and reported that they were treated very, very well.

We were in a condo at the beach for Hurricane Charlie and lost power. We checked out and went to Universal, they have their own generators, it was great. Most of Orlando and area looked like a war zone but not at Universal. We are at beach again and I just made reservations for Royal Pacific for 3 days to weather the Tropical Storm or Hurricane Fay there. Have fun!

We were there is October 2005 when Wilma hit and everything was fine. They had set up extra activities in the hotel so people wouldn't be bored.
